Even though Sunshine seems to be a monster sometimes, she does draw lovely pictures for me! This one is “Sunshine and Mummy and Rainbow”.This is one she drew when she was having her DVD duvet days.

The Mermaid Chair - Sue Monk Kidd

Fantastic! I think this was better than The Secret Life of Bees!So readable, so moving and just wow! The characters were believable, even the fictional environment and legends were believable! Loved it! Would read another Sue Monk Kidd anytime and would recommend either!

The Girl Who Played With Fire – a quick note

Medea bought this for my birthday this year (Thank you!) it was only released on the 6th Jan and it arrived on that day...but I was good and waited until my birthday to open the package! It was a surprise and as the second book in a trilogy it have to wait until I have sourced and read the first book (The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo). I guess after reading two out of three I will have to read the final one!

Resolution

As you may have seen, my blogging has become a bit sporadic of late for one reason or another, so this year I have resolved to try and blog at least once a week, if not for myself, then at least for Sunshine and Rainbow.

The Olive Readers

I finished this today and I feel a bit cheated! Although, I don't think it was that great...I didn't care too much about the characters, and it was ok to read but the end was disappointing and woolly and a bit...well, bleuch. It will be sent on it's way as soon as possible!

Early Birthday Present

Ever since we returned from Portugal, Sunshine has been a bit obsessed about wrapping up anything she can get her hands on!Sunshine and Peter went out for a spell this afternoon and Sunshine came back with an early birthday present for me!

They ended up in B&Q as there was nowhere else open and Sunshine found this snowglobe and decided that it was perfect. Unfortunately, she dropped it on the way to the checkout and announced that "Mummy probably wouldn't like that one because it's broken." So there was a walk back to get a replacement! When home she wrapped it up and presented it to me! A bit later on she made a 'plinth' to put it on and insisted that it went into the cabinet with all the other crystal!
