Pirates
Sunshine decided that she was going to dress up as a girl pirate for World Book Day, and being Sunshine once she has made a decision that’s it! So we cited Peter Pan and Charlie Cook’s Favourite Book… Anyway, the pirate theme continued last night and as she tried to get a DVD on 5 minutes before bedtime, Peter said: “Daddy said no.” Sunshine said: “Arrrgh! Pirates say yes!”…

I wonder if this is because her birthday is so close to 'International Talk Like a Pirate Day - Sept 19th every year... If you need pirate books I can recommend 'The Night Pirates' by Peter Harris and 'The Three Little Pirates' by Georgie Adams. Both star girl pirates and the latter (also The Three Little Witches by the same author) is a nice introduction to a book with chapters...
