Another “WOW!” for this one! Loved it…found out more about the mysterious heroines past…a tad more violent than the The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo but still gripping, engaging and un-put-down-able (even though it was rather heavy in hardback!) Would recommend!
I can’t believe I have to wait until 2010 for the final instalment!

Sunshine decided that she was going to dress up as a girl pirate for World Book Day, and being Sunshine once she has made a decision that’s it! So we cited Peter Pan and Charlie Cook’s Favourite Book… Anyway, the pirate theme continued last night and as she tried to get a DVD on 5 minutes before bedtime, Peter said: “Daddy said no.” Sunshine said: “Arrrgh! Pirates say yes!”…

…or £565 and change to be a bit more precise! For the last 18 months or so we, well mainly Peter, have been feeding the money pot with £2 coins.
We decided that the Terramundi pot was to be opened today and Peter was reluctant to be traditional and smash the pot, or even to lever the top off. So out came the multi-grinding tool thing (which has probably only been used once before!) and a hole big enough to get the money out was made in the bottom of the pot.
Once the drilling/grinding was completed and the money was coming out, Sunshine decided that it was our (collectively) money and she started talking about the distribution of wealth… “…some for me, some for Gran, some for Uncle David…”
Now, what to do with the money…a lovely weekend away perhaps…

As I already had the second book in the Millennium Trilogy by Steig Larsson, I had to get old of a copy of this book from somewhere...so I tried the library (as we are on a bit of mean-streak at the moment) and there was a HUGE waiting list, then BookMooch and it was on loads of wishlists and no copies available ANYWHERE in the world, so I managed to get hold of it for a bargain £1.91 using my Waterstones points (hooray! for loyalty cards!)
Anyway...WOW! Fab! Medea had told me that it was a bit graphic in parts, but I have read worse ‘graphic’ stuff! I loved it, couldn’t get enough and in fact I am worn out from all the late nights I spent reading it! I finished it last night and I can’t wait to start the next book ‘The Girl Who Played with Fire’.

This year, Peter had a brill idea for our anniversary! As it has been 9 years now and this is pottery, he thought we should revisit our wedding year and paint some plates! I haven’t got a photo of our attempts we made in Canmore, Canada as the plates have been archived to the loft
We couldn’t do it actually on our anniversary as the painting place was shut so we did it on Friday 30th. Rainbow was very well behaved and went to sleep (after a walk around Fleet!) which meant that we got the painting done in the two hours we had in the car park!
